Laura Kennedy

I'm an award-winning researcher with a PhD from the University of Cambridge. I have 7+ years of experience managing and delivering mixed-methods research projects in academic and non-profit settings. I worked on the Online Harms team at Samaritans and I specialise in research on online safety and suicide prevention. I’m passionate about tackling complex problems with user research to improve product experiences around trust and safety.

I've won multiple awards for my research including the European Society of Criminology's Young Criminologist Award, the Nigel Walker Prize, and an IoPPN Early Career Research Award at King's College London.
